By making a booking you are confirming that you are authorised to do so on behalf of all persons named in the booking and you are acknowledging that all members of your party agree to be bound by these following terms & conditions:
When your booking has been made a confirmation will be sent to you by email using the email address that you have supplied. Booking confirmations are subject to the availability of accommodation at the Old Point House.
Please check carefully the details of your confirmation as soon as you receive it. You must contact us immediately if any of the details are incorrect or incomplete.
We will try to rectify any inaccuracies or accommodate any alterations you wish to make to your booking. However, cannot accept liability for any inaccuracies that are not brought to our attention within seven days of issuing your confirmation of booking email, nor can we accept responsibility for inaccurate information that you have supplied to us during the booking process, including incorrect dates/rooms etc.
Your room/s are available for check in from 4pm. However, should you wish to arrive earlier and your room is not ready, we will happily take care of your luggage. We kindly request that guests check out by 10am on the day of departure to allow us to prepare the rooms for our next guests. Due to the busy nature of the pub, it is not currently possible to accommodate requests for earlier check in times or later check out times.
Please note the following:
The Old Point House is a working pub and restaurant and there may be noise from the bar and kitchen and restaurant areas and from our garden area during your stay. We also host live music and other events which may also generate additional visitors, noise, vehicles and dogs. We do not open late into the evening so you should still be able to have a restful nights sleep.
We are accessed by a tidal causeway. It is only at very high tides that the pub is cut off and this is normally only for a couple of hours. The tidal causeway can be uneven and rough due to the action of the tide/sea water and at times may be covered in parts with seaweed ! We cannot be held accountable if you are unable to access the pub or leave for a few hours due to the tide and likewise please ensure you are happy to bring your vehicle along the causeway, prior to booking, as we cannot refund rooms where you have decided access is not for you.
During the spring and summer months we can only accept bookings of a minimum of a two night stay over the weekend period.
We are located on the edge of the sea so please ensure that children, dogs and other members of your party are kept safe at all times. The beach/ estuary area can be treacherous at times due to mud and tides and we cannot be held liable for any accidents involving your party members or your vehicles.
Please be aware that we have a car parking area next to the pub which can get busy during the spring and summer. Please be aware of safety when near the car park. You are welcome to park your vehicle in our car park but The Old Point House cannot be held liable for any damage or loss to your vehicle and/or its contents.
Paying for your booking
Payment in full will be required at the time of booking. Any cancellations will be subject to a non-refundable 25% charge. Whilst this 25% non refundable charge is not currently transferable, at the discretion of senior management/The Director we may be able to transfer this non refundable charge to another chosen date. Please see our cancellation policy. Please check the different choices of rooms and any relevant add on options and ensure you choose according to your needs – e.g ensuite, dog friendly stay. Some of the additional choices may incur additional charges and this will be clear at the time of booking and payment. Again, we may not be able to assist if you have not selected the correct room choice for your needs. Please note we only have one dog friendly room, Heron. Any additional choices during your stay such as lunch, dinner, drinks, events, etc must be paid for at the time and we are unable to operate a “tab” system. In the event of a “ no-show” , no refund on the cost of the room or additional charges will be available.

We will notify you of any price discrepancies relating to your booking should they arise, but we strongly advise you to check that the final price of your booking is correct before making your final confirmation and payment.
On receipt of your email confirmation the prices quoted and confirmed by email by The Old Point House remain fixed except for any alterations in the Government rates of taxation and/or duty such as VAT, for which we reserve the right to alter pricing to take account of any variation.

Please note , The Old Point House is a 16th century inn, with low ceilings, uneven surfaces and a narrow staircase, so may not be suitable for all abilities. Please ensure you check with us before completing your booking if you think this may affect you or a member of your party. If details are not provided to us at the time of booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking should we be unable to make appropriate provision for a specific need/needs. Please also note we are located in a reasonably rural location and reached over a tidal causeway, should a member of your party need access to medical facilities and assistance.
